We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Epoxy Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in delivering high-quality results, and wants to build a long-term career in specialty flooring. This role requires access to a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel; a vehicle allowance will be provided.
Preference will be given to candidates with epoxy/concrete knowledge and or epoxy/concrete background.
Primary Job Purpose
The Epoxy Technician is responsible for supporting the installation, repair and maintenance of epoxy flooring, while maintaining or exceeding Divine’s standards of quality. Working closely with the Concrete GM and Concrete Project Manager, this role assists in the preparation, application, and finishing of epoxy and concrete surfaces across various residential and commercial projects. This role plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely and to customer expectations.
Specific Responsibilities
Project Execution & Site Support
Follow direction from the Concrete GM and Project Manager to complete epoxy installations and repairs with minimal supervision.
Assist with surface preparation, epoxy mixing, application, and finishing as required.
Help identify, address, and resolve on-site issues in collaboration with the concrete team.
Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Monitor job progress and assist with efficient use of labor hours.
Logistics & Equipment
Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites as required.
Set up and organize job sites to ensure safe and efficient workflows.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Safety & Compliance
Complete hazard assessments and required safety documentation in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Manual.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
Communication & Administration
Communicate effectively with the Concrete GM, Project Manager and office staff regarding job progress, issues, or schedule changes.
Obtain customer signatures on completed work orders when required.
Arrive on time to job sites as scheduled and adhere to assigned calendars and work schedules.
Position Requirements
Skills Required – Technical
Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Experience using basic hand tools and construction equipment.
Basic computer skills and demonstrated ability to use computer information systems.
Skills Required – Non Technical
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a strong team player.
Ability to communicate both verbally and written, in English.
Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Calgary and surrounding area. Occasional out of town work may be required (>10% of time).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Mandatory use of safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, safety vest, knee pads and other PPE as required on site.
