Sales and Construction Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales and Construction Estimator to join our Sub-Contractor team. The ideal candidate prepares accurate cost estimates for construction projects, supports project planning, builds strong sales and client relations, and ensures competitive pricing. The estimator collaborates closely with project managers to deliver precise bids that align with project scope and budget.

Duties

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements for epoxy, polished concrete and terrazzo flooring.
• Use estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff to develop accurate pricing models.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Work with vendors to gather competitive pricing and negotiate terms.
• Help develop project budgets and schedules based on estimates.
• Review project plans to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support the construction team through project execution, including architectural drawings and scope of work.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation.

Skills

• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff and/or other construction estimating software
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, pricing strategies, and cost analysis
• Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and General Contractors
• Ability to coordinate multiple bids at once
• Understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
