You can pick up a lot about epoxy floors online, but you can’t learn to read a slab, time a pour or fix a bad batch from a video. For that you need hands-on reps with someone who has done it hundreds of times. That is what in-person epoxy training events are for.
British Columbia’s epoxy training is centred in the Lower Mainland, with two solid options: Concrete Corner’s 2-day course in Surrey and the XPS Vancouver 3-day course in Coquitlam, which runs several weekends this fall. Here is what is coming up:
Upcoming Epoxy Training in British Columbia
XPS Vancouver 3-Day Full Epoxy Flooring Course: October 16-18
- Dates: October 16-18, 2026 (8 AM to 4 PM daily)
- Location: #22 – 91 Golden Dr, Coquitlam
- Investment: $1,495 CAD (10% off a second ticket)
- Class size: Max 30 students
Why It’s Worth Your Time: This is a full start-to-finish epoxy course at the Xtreme Polishing Systems training facility in Coquitlam. You work hands-on with flake, metallic, quartz and polyaspartic systems, plus surface prep, grinding, moisture testing, crack repair and cove base. The course also covers coverage rates, job estimating and marketing, so you leave knowing how to price the work, not just install it.
All materials, tools, breakfast and lunch are included. You get a certification, lifetime support from the XPS team and access to their graduate WhatsApp group. This session is this weekend, so call now if you want a spot.
Concrete Corner 2-Day Epoxy, Polyaspartic and Metallic Coating Training
- Dates: Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, 2026
- Location: #106 18669 52 Ave, Surrey
- Investment: $500 plus GST
Why It’s Worth Your Time: This is the best value in the province. Concrete Corner’s instructors are all former installers, and the course mixes classroom teaching with real hands-on practice. Day one covers surface prep, the difference between epoxy and urethane products, measuring and mixing, and installing solid colour and flake floors. Day two moves on to metallic coatings, quoting and marketing a coatings business, more hands-on floor finishing and an open Q&A.
It is a strong pick for contractors adding coatings to an existing business. Concrete Corner also answers follow-up questions seven days a week after you finish, which helps a lot on your first few jobs.
XPS Vancouver 3-Day Weekend Epoxy Course: November 13-15
- Dates: November 13-15, 2026 (Friday to Sunday, 9 AM to 4 PM)

Why It’s Worth Your Time: If October is too soon, this is the next XPS weekend in BC. It covers epoxy, metallic, flake, quartz and countertop systems, along with cove base, concrete testing and surface prep. No experience is needed, breakfast and lunch are provided, and you get a certificate plus lifetime WhatsApp support from the XPS team.
XPS Vancouver 3-Day Weekend Epoxy Course: December 11-13
- Dates: December 11-13, 2026 (Friday to Sunday, 8 AM to 4 PM)
- Location: #22 – 91 Golden Dr, Coquitlam
- Investment: $1,495 CAD, with a discount on extra tickets for teams
- Class size: 15 students
Why It’s Worth Your Time: The last XPS Vancouver session of 2026 has a smaller class, which means more time with the instructors. On top of the core systems, it covers metallic and glitter finishes, topcoats and growing an epoxy business. Training in December also gives you the winter to get set up before the spring rush. Materials, tools, meals, a training manual and certification are all included.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Hands-on training gives you something online content can’t: real reps on real floors, with someone next to you when things go sideways. You learn to fix problems before they cost you a job, and you get to ask the questions that only come up when you are halfway through a metallic pour.
A few practical notes before you book:
- Pick the format that fits you. Concrete Corner is a shorter, lower-cost 2-day course. XPS is a full 3-day certification with more systems covered.
- Weekend sessions fill fast because they are easy to fit around work. If you have a date in mind, register early.
- Beginners are welcome at every course on this list. No experience needed.
