Resilient Flooring Installer

Baker Flooring Contracts Ltd. is seeking a skilled Resilient Floor Installer to join our team. We specialize in high-quality flooring solutions for residential and commercial clients across the Avalon and surrounding areas. We take pride in delivering durable, precise, and visually appealing installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install resilient flooring materials (vinyl, LVT, linoleum, rubber)
• Prepare subfloors (cleaning, leveling, patching, and priming)
• Read and interpret blueprints and layout specifications
• Ensure precise alignment, seams, and finishes
• Use appropriate adhesives, tools, and installation techniques
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements:

• Proven experience installing resilient flooring (vinyl, LVT, linoleum, etc.)
• Knowledge of subfloor preparation and moisture mitigation
• Ability to read plans and follow specifications
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Physical ability to lift materials and work on knees for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets:

• Certification or apprenticeship in flooring installation
• Experience with commercial flooring projects
• Familiarity with industry tools and adhesives
